Volleyball Game Preview: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Northview Wildcats

The Springfield Blue Devils will challenge the Northview Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Springfield, who comes in off a win.

Springfield took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Adrian.

Springfield never let Adrian on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Northview came up short against Anthony Wayne on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

While Northview ultimately came up short, they really made Anthony Wayne work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 26-24, 25-14.

Springfield will have to contain Andrew Smith as he made an impact in Northview's last game. He had 11 digs and two aces.

Springfield's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for Northview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
