Softball Game Preview: King Lions vs. Blake Yellow Jackets

King hasn't had much luck against Blake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lions will face off against the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. King has given up an average of 16.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

King came up short against Jefferson on Monday, falling 18-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Blake hadn't done well against Leto recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets blew past the Falcons 18-6. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Blake's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

King couldn't quite get it done against Blake when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
