Baseball Recap: Kamiak Knights vs. Jackson Timberwolves
Kamiak extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 13-7 in the process. They fell 8-3 to the Jackson Timberwolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Wednesday.
Kamiak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Spaulding, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double. Elijah Bovey was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.
On Jackson's side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Duckart, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton White, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Kamiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jackson, they will square off against Cascade at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
