Softball Recap: Grayling Triumphs

Grayling won the last time they faced Kalkaska and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blazers, sneaking past 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Jessica Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Cali D'Amour was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Anna Wood was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Grayling's win bumped their record up to 16-6-1. As for Kalkaska, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayling will host McBain at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kalkaska, they will welcome Gladwin at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
