Basketball Recap: Williams Find Success

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Williams Yellowjackets beat the Lindhurst Blazers 60-56 on Tuesday.

Diego Ambriz was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moises Vargas, who posted 15 points.

Williams' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lindhurst, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Williams will take on Gridley in a tournament on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lindhurst, they will be home for the holidays to greet Live Oak at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blazers will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
