Soccer Game Preview: Central Catholic vs. East Union

Central Catholic hasn't had much luck against East Union recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Central Catholic Raiders will welcome the East Union Lancers at 6:15 p.m.

Having struggled with 11 losses in a row, Central Catholic turned things around against Oakdale on Thursday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 4-4 draw. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Raiders' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Sierra typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday East Union proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Timberwolves, sneaking past 2-1.

Ben Diaz and Alexis Machuca scored both of East Union's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-7. With that draw, Central Catholic's record moves to 2-13-1.
