The Grainger Grizzlies will square off against the Greeneville Greene Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grainger is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Grainger is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Union County just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-4.

McKinley Mills and Kaylee Sturgill stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mills went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Sturgill went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That triple was Mills' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Amanda Kledzik, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sunday just wasn't the day for Greeneville's offense. They fell just short of Volunteer by a score of 2-0 on Sunday. The Greene Devils haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Grainger's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Greeneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Grainger's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Grizzlies have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Greeneville, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Grainger continue to outrun the ball?

Grainger took their win against Greeneville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 18-11 score. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Greene Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
