Basketball Recap: Melina Petramalo Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

Bellarmine Prep won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bellarmine Prep Lions strolled past the Lincoln Abes with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Abes are ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bellarmine Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melina Petramalo, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Kyla Frazier was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine boards.
