After a string of six wins, St. Michael's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to the Parkview Baptist Eagles. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matchups prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Parkview Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

St. Michael will host Madison Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison Prep Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something St. Michael surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parkview Baptist, they are taking a road trip to face off against Assumption at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
