Volleyball Recap: East Lawrence Gets the Win

East Lawrence's tournament run continued when they took on Sulligent on Saturday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Lauren Garner paced East Lawrence's offense, picking up nine kills. Garner got some help from Cheyenne Hackett and her 13 assists. Garner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Sulligent, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

East Lawrence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cherokee on the 6th. Hopefully Sulligent paid attention to the Eagles' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
