Baseball Recap: Freeport Falls Short of Pensacola Catholic in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Freeport can now relate to. They came up short against the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders on Monday, falling 7-0. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Crusaders' pitchers proved too tough.

The defeat snapped Freeport's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 18-7 record. As for Pensacola Catholic, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.
