Basketball Game Preview: Normal West Wildcats vs. Prosser Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the Normal West Wildcats will jump right back in to play the Prosser Falcons at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Normal West and three for Prosser.

Normal West's tournament run continued when they took on Harlem on Friday. Normal West lost 53-31 to Harlem.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Michael Zaleski, who posted nine points. K'Shaun Jones was another key player, putting up four points.

Even though they lost, Normal West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Meanwhile, Prosser took a blow against Peoria on Thursday, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Lions are ranked 11th).

Prosser's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Normal West, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
