Basketball Game Preview: Manson Trojans vs. Omak Pioneers

The Manson Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Omak Pioneers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Manson is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-31 defeat at the hands of Lake Roosevelt. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Omak ended up a good deal behind Liberty Bell on Friday and lost 69-52. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 88th).

Manson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Omak, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Manson came up short against Omak when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 60-55. Can Manson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
