Basketball Recap: Herriman Starts Season with Win at Home

Herriman took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 79-30 victory over the Hunter Wolverines. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won six in a row.

Herriman found their leader in freshman Xavier Mulford, who posted 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Azan Afridi, who scored 13 points.

Hunter is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Herriman will head out to square off against Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Redhawks have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Hunter, they will venture away from home to challenge Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Sentinels have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
