Volleyball Recap: Ursuline Academy Wins Going Away Against New Richmond

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Ursuline Academy blew past New Richmond 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ursuline Academy.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ursuline Academy took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-10.

Willow Smith paced Ursuline Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Kelsey Green and her 22 assists. Green was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Ursuline Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for New Richmond, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Ursuline Academy nor New Richmond have any future games scheduled.
