Basketball Recap: Rivendell Academy Takes a Loss

Rivendell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Twin Valley Wildcats, falling 82-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Twin Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-37 back in January.

Brayden Brown was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 43 points and 12 rebounds for Twin Valley. Brown's evening made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Niko Gerding, who went 8 for 18 to rack up 23 points.

Rivendell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Twin Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Rivendell Academy will welcome Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Twin Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mill River at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
