Volleyball Recap: South Range's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

South Range entered their tilt with Struthers on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Range was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Anna Toy paced South Range's offense, picking up 15 kills. Toy got some help from Addison Freedy and her 17 assists. Freedy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Parker Zwingler, each putting up five.

South Range's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Struthers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

South Range wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Canton Central Catholic on the 1st. As for Struthers, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m.
