Baseball Game Preview: Webster City Lynx vs. Clear Lake Lions

The Webster City Lynx are taking a road trip to face off against the Clear Lake Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Webster City came up short against Saydel and fell 9-4.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Clear Lake challenged Red Oak on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 13-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Clear Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Webster City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-1 record this season.

Everything went Webster City's way against Clear Lake in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, as Webster City made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Lynx repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
