Volleyball Recap: Wells Triumphs

Wells won the last time they faced Chicago Marshall and things went their way on Friday too. The Raiders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Commandos.

Wells never let Chicago Marshall on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22.

Syntrell Jones paced Wells' offense, picking up seven kills. Jones got some help from Myron Baranovskyy and his 13 assists. Baranovskyy was also solid from the service line: he led the team with ten aces.

The win got Wells back to even at 7-7. As for Chicago Marshall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wells is set to square off against their familiar foe Collins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Chicago Marshall will face off against rival Manley at 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
