Soccer Game Preview: Douglas vs. Boaz

Douglas hasn't had much luck against Boaz recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Douglas will be strutting in after a win while Boaz will be coming in after a loss.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Douglas who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Crossville's two.

Boaz is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Susan Moore. That's two games in a row now that Boaz have lost by just one goal.

Douglas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Boaz, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-4.
