Soccer Game Preview: Strathmore vs. Exeter

The Strathmore Spartans and the Exeter Monarchs will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Exeter will have to contend with a Strathmore squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen yet this season. Strathmore and Immanuel finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Exeter's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Dinuba by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to the Monarchs' undefeated start to the season.

Strathmore's draw gives them a new season record of 0-7-4. As for Exeter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1-1.

Strathmore suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Exeter when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Strathmore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
