Pine Forest proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Western Harnett Eagles 6-5. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 12-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Mya Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
