SEDONA, Ariz. -
Page (Ariz.) kept up a steady attack all game long to upset
Red Rock (Sedona, Ariz.), 34-7, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter, the Sand Devils were up 14-6 at the half.
Page expanded its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. PHS scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
The final score was a stunner, as the Sand Devils was ranked No. 171 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Arizona, far below Red Rock's spot at No. 112.
Red Rock's only touchdown came on an 87-yard punt return by
Andre Davis in the second quarter.
The win was a nice bounce back for Page, which lost to Payson last week, 42-10. The loss comes after Red Rock defeated Pinon 49-0 last week. The loss snapped Red Rock's two-game winning streak.
Red Rock (2-1) goes up against North Pointe Prep in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Page (2-1) locks horns with St. Johns also in a non-conference game.
