Softball Recap: Newburgh Free Academy Takes a Loss

Newburgh Free Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-4 loss on Friday.

Parker Mullarkey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Camryn LeClair, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Newburgh Free Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Monroe-Woodbury, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Newburgh Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goshen Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
