Basketball Game Preview: Denver West Cowboys vs. DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets

The Denver West Cowboys will venture away from home to take on the DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Denver West comes in on seven and DSST: Conservatory Green on four.

On Tuesday, Denver West got the win against Bruce Randolph by a conclusive 61-35. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Jeremiah Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Jaheim Taylor was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards.

Denver West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Meanwhile, DSST: Conservatory Green really took it to Lincoln for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-39 win. The Hornets is also no stranger to big wins: their blowout on Tuesday was the eight contest they've won by 20+ points or more this season.

DSST: Conservatory Green pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.4 points. As for Denver West, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Denver West strolled past DSST: Conservatory Green when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a score of 62-47. Will Denver West repeat their success, or does DSST: Conservatory Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
