Volleyball Recap: Lake Region Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mulberry

Lake Region had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Mulberry Panthers, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Lake Region ultimately came up short, they really made Mulberry work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 28-26.

Ernesto Rangel was the offensive standout of the match as he had five aces and three digs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in aces.

Looking ahead, Lake Region will square off against Lake Wales at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mulberry, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. The game will give Auburndale their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
