Volleyball Recap: Inderkum Comes Up Short

Inderkum lost against Vista del Lago back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Inderkum took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-22.

Garrett Izumi paced Inderkum's offense, picking up seven kills. Izumi got some help from Yuta Scharf and his 15 assists. Scharf also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Luke Davis, racking up two apiece.

Inderkum's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Vista del Lago, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Inderkum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Carlmont on the 12th. As for Vista del Lago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Ponderosa on the 21st.
