Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gulf Coast HEAT). They blew past the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles 92-37 on Monday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gulf Coast HEAT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Westin Lacey, who went 13 of 18 en route to 29 points in addition to six assists and five steals. The contest was Lacey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Steven Scott, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 19 rebounds.

Gulf Coast HEAT smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Gulf Coast HEAT has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points per game. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Gulf Coast HEAT will head out to challenge Cardinal Mooney at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they and Hollins will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
