Baseball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Comes Up Short

Penn Yan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the Waterloo Tigers. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Thursday.

Penn Yan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Waterloo, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Penn Yan Academy will square off against Wayne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
