Basketball Game Preview: Beaverhead County Beavers vs. Butte Bulldogs

Beaverhead County and Butte are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Beaverhead County Beavers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Butte Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Beaverhead County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over Loyola-Sacred Heart. That's two games straight that the Beavers have won by exactly two points.

Meanwhile, Butte had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over Belgrade. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Beaverhead County strolled past Butte when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 71-54. Will Beaverhead County repeat their success, or does Butte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
