Basketball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took a blow against the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks, falling 77-22. The matchup marked the Whippets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Fort Atkinson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Whitewater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 126-49 loss against Milwaukee Academy of Science on the 11th. As for Fort Atkinson, they will challenge DeForest at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. DeForest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Fort Atkinson likes a good challenge.
