West Davidson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lexington Yellowjackets a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nicholas Tierney looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

The victory got West Davidson back to even at 8-8. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
