Basketball Recap: Chariho Comes Up Short

Chariho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 70-44 to the North Providence Cougars. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Despite the loss, Chariho still got an impressive performance from Aidan R, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points. Sean Westnedge was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Chariho's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North Providence, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Chariho didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-39 defeat against Cranston West on the 23rd. As for North Providence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 78-46 victory against Middletown on the 23rd.
