Soccer Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Galena Pirates who were credited with the win. The Galena Pirates got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Jefferson J-Hawks' four.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Galena, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Princeton on the 26th. As for Galena, they will face off against River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Galena will need to watch out since River Valley have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches.
