Basketball Game Preview: Houston Mustangs vs. Arlington Tigers

Houston and Arlington are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2021, but not for long. The Houston Mustangs will square off against the Arlington Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Houston was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Collierville.

Despite the defeat, Houston had strong showings from Caidyn Sanders, who posted 17 points and six rebounds, and Mckenzie Percoski, who earned 15 points and five boards. The contest was Percoski's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Mcnamee, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Arlington took on Bartlett on Saturday. Arlington was dealt a 69-35 loss at the hands of Bartlett. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 21-10.

Houston didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Arlington in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 39-33 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Arlington's Kallie Marsh, who went 8-for-9 en route to 17 points and three steals.
