Softball Recap: McMahon Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for McMahon's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Trumbull Eagles on Wednesday. The Senators have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

McMahon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

McMahon's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Trumbull, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McMahon will face off against Danbury at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hatters have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Trumbull, they will square off against Wilton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
