Basketball Recap: Platteview's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After flying high against Arlington last Monday, Platteview came back down to earth. The Platteview Trojans lost to the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors on the road by a 53-37 margin on Tuesday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Platteview lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sully Vanosdall, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points. Levi Ekue was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

Platteview moved to 7-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Lincoln Lutheran, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Platteview will face off against Bennington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bennington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they will take on Syracuse at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
