Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sumner + How To Watch

Sumner entered their tilt with Alonso on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-15.

Sumner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Mitchell out in front who had 24 digs. Those 24 digs gave Mitchell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Benitez, who had four aces and three digs.

Sumner was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Sumner's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Alonso, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Sumner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Newsome on the 30th. As for Alonso, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Chamberlain on the 7th.
