Football Recap: Florence Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Florence played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Muscle Shoals Trojans and fell 34-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Trojans since September 8, 2017.

Jimmy McDonald threw for 55 yards and one TD. Carter Graves was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Muscle Shoals, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Florence and Muscle Shoals should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Falcons will face off against Albertville at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th with a big rank advantage (59 vs. 221). Meanwhile, Muscle Shoals (ranked 19th) will meet Columbia (ranked 344th) at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
