Recap: Buena Park Coyotes vs. Fullerton Indians
There was early excitement for The Buena Park Coyotes after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was the Fullerton Indians who ended up claiming the real prize. Buena Park was just a hair shy of victory and fell 22-21 to Fullerton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Buena Park in their matchups with Fullerton: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Buena Park still got an impressive performance from Jaden Moore, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
Fullerton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deshawn Cobbs led the charge by rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown. Dallas Padron was another key contributor, rushing for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Buena Park has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Fullerton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Buena Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Arroyo Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arroyo Valley is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Fullerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
