Baseball Recap: Stevenson Gets the Win

After losing to Lake Zurich the last time they met, Stevenson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots came out on top against the Bears by a score of 4-1 on Monday.

Alex Han made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Nack, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Stevenson's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Lake Zurich, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bears beat Stevenson by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday.
