Basketball Recap: Freer Takes a Loss

Freer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Danbury Panthers.

Freer's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Danbury, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Freer and Santa Maria will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Danbury, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nordheim at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Danbury is facing Nordheim at the right time seeing as Nordheim is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
