Chaparral put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Roosevelt Mustangs by a score of 4-1. The four-run effort marked the Pumas' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sebastian Zuniga looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Connor Wetzel was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Chaparral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Chaparral's record is now 5-0. As for Roosevelt, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Chaparral has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Arlington on the 5th. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Rancho at 3:15 p.m. on March 10th. Roosevelt's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so El Rancho's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
