Volleyball Recap: Buckingham Charter's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Buckingham Charter was the 3-0 winner over Sacramento Waldorf when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Waves on Friday. The loss put an end to the Knights' undefeated start to the season.

While Buckingham Charter ultimately came up short, they really made Sacramento Waldorf work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 21-25, 27-25.

Justice Wright paced Buckingham Charter's offense, picking up 14 kills. Wright got some help from Margrethe Lim and her 15 assists. Jessica Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Buckingham Charter fell to 2-1.

Buckingham Charter has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Foresthill on the 26th. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sacramento Country Day on the 27th.
