Baseball Recap: Queen Anne's County Comes Up Short

Queen Anne's County had taken Easton down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Lions lost 12-6 to the Warriors. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 14-5.

Dulin Clark was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Travis Sutch, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Queen Anne's County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Easton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Queen Anne's County will square off against Sussex Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Easton, they will take on Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
