Football Recap: East Mecklenburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

East Mecklenburg lost against South Mecklenburg back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles were dealt a 45-8 loss at the hands of the Sabres. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Sabres are ranked 83rd).

East Mecklenburg now has a losing record of 2-3. As for South Mecklenburg, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

East Mecklenburg and South Mecklenburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to face off against their familiar foe Ballantyne Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Mecklenburg will square off against rival Hopewell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
