Ascension Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Louisiana School for the Deaf 3-0.

Meanwhile, Thrive Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against Broadmoor, falling 3-0.

Thrive Academy was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Thrive Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Ascension Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Everything went Ascension Catholic's way against Thrive Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Ascension Catholic made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ascension Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
