Westwood's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Medway Mustangs, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Westwood was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 13-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Despite the loss, Medway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucy Mitchell had nine digs, five aces, and one block. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Mitchell. Abi Ratcliffe also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Medway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Millis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Medway will face off against rival Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
