Rian Reed made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Maddie Swift was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Kalina Childers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Plymouth Whitemarsh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Hatboro-Horsham earned a 9-6 victory over Gwynedd Mercy Academy on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hatters.
Hatboro-Horsham got a massive performance out of Madison Karpovich, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Karpovich snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Ravi, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
The win got Plymouth Whitemarsh back to even at 4-4. As for Hatboro-Horsham, their record now sits at 5-2.
