Meanwhile, Santa Fe was able to grind out a solid victory over Lutheran South Academy on Friday, taking the game 6-3.

Santa Fe got a great performance from Avery Williams as she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Santa Fe let Cecilia Reyes and Mikayla Nations run wild. Reyes went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple, while Nations went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits Nations has posted since back in February.
